Watching
The Shins have a new album and this lovely music video that I love.
The Shins: The Rifle’s Spiral on Nowness.com.
So this is happening on youtube now. It is called The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and it is a modern vlogging retelling of Pride & Prejudice.
So far there are seven videos but I am not sure how I feel about them. Lizzie isn't very Lizzie to me, she talks to fast and is a little to uptight. I am also not a fan of the girls orangey make up but I am watching and I think it is an interesting concept.
Last night my friend Lindsey was telling Debbie and I we should watch the SNL skits Bein' Quircky With Zooey Deschanel. I think I love Michael Cera the best.

And It Sings To Me Inside
For Debbie's birthday I bought her tickets to see Florence & The Machine. We started the night off by going to Cibo in downtown.
I know you can't see the skirt that goes with Debbie's dress but she had two complete strangers come up and complement her on her outfit.
The food was really good, I think Debbie got pictures so you will have to wait for her post to see it.

Family Fun
We decided to do our Easter egg hunt a week late so we could do it when Ashley & Sam would be in town. We met at Freestone park my mom brought food and a ton of eggs for the kids to find.
It was such a lovely day and I had such a blast playing with my nieces and nephews.
Last Sunday my mom had my nephew try on a costume she had made for a play pretty soon everyone wanted to be Captain Hook.
It has been so much fun having Sam (and Ashley) here. I was holding Sam when Joe came up and wanted to be held too. It melted my heart, I love these little guys so much.
Debbie took a picture for me it reminds me of one of my favorite picture ever.
First I was holding one when another crawled over and wanted to be held also then the last could not be left out.

Toss Your Curls & Cares Away
In case you were wondering if I was indeed brave enough (and you didn't already see on Facebook or Instagram). I give you pixie me...
I guess I should add a before shot.
My sister in law Ashley did such a great job and her enthusiasm gave me the courage to go for it! Also I got to look at this little guy while I got my hair cut!
And I don't mind saying so myself but doesn't it look rather cute with a tiny little bow headband in it? Thank you Kristin for the idea.

Hair Today maybe gone tonight.
I am going to get my hair cut today after work. So funny thing is last Saturday my mom says to me and the rest of my family who was there. "Connie, don't get mad but I think you would look good with a pixie cut." Now I wasn't mad she suggested it, but in the past my hair has been a touchy subject between us. Mostly because she likes it short and I rarely keep it short.
I think this was her favorite hair cut and I think I was 19 when this was taken. Little did my mom know that when she brought it up again last Saturday that I had already been thinking about cutting my hair and decided against going really short. So I told her "It is never going to happen." I normally don't make "I'll never" statements, because I hate eating my words. I mostly said it because I did not like having the conversation centered on me and my hair and Russ was taking pictures so I said as a way to end the conversation.
But like I said I was already thinking about cutting my hair for a few reasons, one being it was making me super hot last Saturday while Debbie and I was shopping, another seeing my cute friends Instagram of her pixie cut. I have not been able to stop thinking about how nice it would be to have super short hair.
Here are some hair cuts I am contemplating...
If I am not brave enough for one of these I will end up with something more like this...

Thanks mom for giving me confidence to cut my hair and sorry I am so touchy about my hair you know I love you.

I Want To Ride My Bicycle
As I mentioned in my last post I got a new to me bike and it is quite ridiculous how happy riding my bike makes me. It also makes me realize how much I love the area I live in. I get to see ducks, horses, llamas, and bunnies darting in front of me on my bike rides.
Debbie also invited me to go to the Easter Pageant with her William & Gracie. I decided to stop and get some donuts that I had heard a lot of Mesa people talk about. Personally I didn't think they were anything extra special, but they were good and a fun treat.
According to an article done by the LDS Church News last year, it is one of the largest Easter Pageant in the world with a cast and crew of nearly a thousand people, who all volunteer and give up a lot of their time to rehearse and perform. Over the nine days the performance runs more than 100,000 people attend. I just love how music and dance can bring people together.
This past weekend I got to babysit for my brother and sister in law so they could go see Hunger Games! They had some of their cousins over as well and were having so much fun playing outside I actually got to kick up my broken toe and read for awhile. Later we also got to play an exciting game of shoots and ladders.
Here are some pictures I took on my ride last night. There was actually a dude walking by me, who I hadn't seen at first, kind of embarrassing...don't mind me just taking pictures of my bike.
