Today I stumbled upon a tumbler about bookshelves. The title says "book lovers never go to bed alone". Then has a quote by Henry Ward Beecher "A little library, growing larger every year, is an honourable part of a man's history. It is a man's duty to have books. A library is not a luxury, but one of the necessaries of life."
Here are a couple things from the site that I liked.
A past Prophet of my church President Spencer W. Kimball said: “Each member [of the Church] should develop talents, read good literature, be engaged in quality cultural pursuits” (Ensign, May 1978, p. 101).
Here is my main book case, there are also stacks of books in my bedroom. Not to mention all the books I have lent out to family and friends. Once I get all my books back I think I am going to need another book case.
Belle is a lucky girl. If only...
ReplyDeleteYou must paint on books, You MUST paint on books. I was picturing something totally wrong. Time to start garage selling for old books!
ReplyDeleteThese bookshelves are soooo dreamy. And I love the books on YOUR shelves! At least three-fourths of them are on my own. (I am thinking this is a good sign that you will like *my* novel. Fingers crossed!)
ReplyDeleteStephanie - I have no doubt I will love your book, I love reading your blog. While listening to all those guys singing French I had the following thoughts...I need to find a French speaking guy. Yeah that is probably not going to happen. I need to find a French speaking fictional guy. Hey wait Stephanie's book it takes place in Paris.
ReplyDeleteAfter my string of thoughts it felt very important to confirm the fact that he spoke at least some French. Thank you for responding.
