Photo Shoot

Saturday I was at my parent’s house playing with my niece Vaeh when she got my camera and started taking pictures of us. Then she wanted me to take pictures of her she started to pose with out any coaching, she is a natural. Then she wanted to take pictures of me. I love playing with my nieces & nephews.

Before I went out to my parents house I got up early to go hicking with my friend Melissa, this spring the desert is very beautiful.

Also I saw Penelope last night and it was brilliant. James is very charming in the movie even if he does not have his accent. My favorite part was when he sings, very fun movie.

Has anyone ever told you you look like???

Does anyone besides me get this question a lot? A couple of Sundays ago a couple girls from my ward came up to me at different times and said since you've gotten bangs you look like Reese Witherspoon. Little do they know this all started back when I was around eleven years old. I had a neighbor who looked like Paul from the wonder years, but with out the glasses.

I had been teasing him probably by calling him Paul or something and he said "oh yeah well you look like Nonnie" my response was something like "who the heck is that". He told me "It's the girl from the movie A Far Off Place". So of course I had my mom rent the movie so I could see who I looked like. Nonnie turned out to be a young Reese Witherspoon. Over the next few years I would hear you like like the girl from Man in the Moon or Fear. I don't think it was till after Legally Blonde came out when people started to actually say "has anyone ever told you that you look like Reese Witherspoon". Now honestly how am I suppose to respond to that question? I say yes then they look at me like I should be saying more. Which use to annoy me because come on how do I know if they mean it as a compliment? For all I know they could think Reese Witherspoon is ugly. But I have gotten use to it now and so I simply smile and say "yes, thanks that is so nice of you to say".

Sometime I can actually get a kick out of it. Like when someone asks me the question then look at their friend and say "don't you think she looks like Reese Witherspoon" and the friend will either say "no" or nothing at all. The awkwardness that follows always makes me laugh. I think the funniest was when I went to go see Legally Blonde with my friends back when it came out and my friend Courtney started looking at me and then back at the screen and making loud comments.

Now I must say that when I see Reese I don't see myself I can see that we both have blue eyes and a pointy chin but I do not expect or care if others think I look like Reese Witherspoon or not. I am glad that she seems to be a nice person and makes good films I would hate to have my movie twin be a skank or something. Also I get to have the benefit of seeing how nice I would look next to James McAvoy.

(I know I only wish... but fun just the same)

Super Bowl

Every Sunday our family gets together for Sunday dinner and with six brothers and a father who loves all sports and has been known to watch a game on tv and be listening to another on the radio. So you can imagine that this Sunday the super bowl was on. Now up until Saturday I did not realize the super bowl was even here in Arizona. Shocking I know. I started watching the game after half time and I could not decide who I wanted to win the under dogs or the undefeated team. And it did not help that Tom Brady is just so dang pretty. Of course he is a scoundrel and most likely a jerk. But I could not help commenting on how pretty he was so my little brother Eric went and got his espn magazine or something and showed me this.

Seriously who knew football could look so good??? It was an exciting game and in the end I was happy for the Giants Eli seems much nicer than Tom. Don't worry Tom you might have lost the super bowl this year but you win the prettiest football player award.
